　　我们都知道，A-Level成绩分为 A*、A、B、C、D、E、U六个等级，A*为最高，E为及格，U为不及格(A-level scores are divided into six grades: a *, a, B, C, D, e and U. a * is the highest, e is passed and u is failed)。E是及格线，相当于百分制的40分。 但是，Alevel考试全部考完才有A*成绩，AS与单元成绩没有A*(Alevel has an a * score only after all the tests are completed, and there is no a in as and unit scores*)。

　　UMS与raw marks之间的关系：

　　Raw mark是原始分数/卷面分，是批卷老师实际给你打出的分数。

　　Raw marks是需要转换成 UMS marks(Uniform Mark Scale规范分)统一规范成绩。因为每个考试季的标题难度不同，raw mark分数线每年是不一样的(Because the title difficulty of each examination season is different, the raw mark score line is different every year)。

　　UMS分数90%对应A*，80%对应A，以此类推，40%对应及格。

　　每年UMS(规范分)不会改变，而实际的raw mark(原始分数/卷面分)是会有改变的。

　　爱德思某些科目的考试里，想要拿到UMS满分，是不需要Raw mark满分的(Edwards doesn‘t need a full raw mark to get a full UMS score in some subjects)。

　　举个例子，在2017年的爱德思物理考试中，3个单元的raw mark满分分别为(In the 2017 Edwards physics test, the full score of raw mark of the three units was)：80分，80分，40分，但是满UMS所对应的raw mark分别是60，64,38，这就意味着，这三个单元的raw mark分别达到75%， 80%和95%(The raw marks of the three units are 75%, 80% and 95% respectively)，最终的UMS就会为100%。

　　UCAS Tarrif points是指用现已取得的A-level成绩(A*、A、B、C、D、E)换算成UCAS分数，如果到达大学入学要求是有机会被录取的(If you reach the university admission requirements, you have a chance to be admitted)，不过以牛剑为代表的英国名校是不接受UCAS Tariff Points的，只有少数排名比较靠后的大学可以接受(Only a few lower ranking universities can accept it)。

　　Modular qualifications(模块证书课程)

　　模块证书课程是以单元(units)来划分整个课程的，每个单元学习完毕后参加考试(The module certificate course is divided into the whole course by units. After learning each unit, take the exam)，考生每一个单元都会取得一个成绩，然后用已取得的单元成绩‘cash in’(兑换)一个最终成绩，比如爱德思考试局的数理化。

　　因为试卷难度不同，有些比较简单，有些比较难(Because the difficulty of the test paper is different, some are relatively simple and some are relatively difficult)，所以模块证书课程会运用UMS来平衡。
