CAIE AS Redox 知识点解析！

开学已经有一段时间了，不知道大家学的怎么样。据大多数学生反映，学校进度一般都讲到了redox左右的章节了。

学过IG的同学可能认为redox很简单啊，没有什么难的地方。今天给同学们说说redox中有哪些考点。

考点1：redox的判断

Redox我们一般情况下是按两种套路：一种是根据gain or loss of electrons, 这里有两个单词oil(oxidation is loss of electrons), rig(reduction is gain of electrons)，根据这两个单词我们就可以判断是oxidation 还是reduction.For example:

In the first half equation, I- loses electrons, so it’s oxidation reaction; then the second one is reduction reaction.

考点2：Overall equation

有同学觉得前面的redox的判断很简单啊，不难。

那很不错，我们继续来看由half equation怎么来写overall equation，还举前面的那个例子。

提醒下，我们都知道，在overall equation中是没有electrons存在的，so we need to cancel electrons out.

那第一个equation乘以5，第2个式子乘以2之后，两个式子相加就可以了。

考点3：Balance the equation

直接上题吧，提醒下，这个我们是根据the number of electrons gained is equal to that of electrons lost。

思考一会儿，看看选哪个？

那么N 一定是失去了2mol的electrons, 由于它前面coefficient 是1，所以oxidation number是从-1变成了+1才会lose 2mol of electros，所以最后product的N的oxidation number一定是+1，所以选择B。
